About the Firm

At the Law Office of Benjamin Gilmour, you’ll work one-on-one with an experienced, thoughtful, and court-tested attorney. Ben has an extensive history practicing criminal law and has successfully handled a variety of civil matters, including custody disputes, agency arbitration, and collective bargaining.

Ben has honed his skills over a decade of public service as a public defender, municipal labor attorney, and former prosecutor. He has successfully litigated, and won, before agencies, judges, and juries.

Ben’s notable trial victories have included acquittals on cases ranging from misdemeanors, like assault and DWI, to both non-violent drug cases and Violent Felony Offenses, where his clients faced substantial prison time.

Since starting the firm, Ben has been bringing his successful style of thoughtful, creative, assertive, and client-centered representation to clients in criminal and family courts throughout Western New York.
